It’s the time of the year when Christmas brings a foggy comfortable feeling to your mind and you feel all laid back. ‘Tis also the time when I remind myself to take the ‘jaayza’ of the year that was. And dream about the year that will be.
December 2013 : I made the following resolutions for 2014. Here’s a reality check (NOT rain check :P)
1) Continue my poem-a-day resolution which was abandoned last year.
This resolution is revised to post poems/other articles as regularly as possible. (This was January 2014 update)
[I have posted 1 or 2 poems on the blog and on the Facebook Sher-o-shayari closed group. I have also created a Facebook page Baawre Alfaz on which I plan to write poetry with pictures. Other than that, I have written book reviews and contest posts.]
2) Plan week’s posts in advance.
[Okay, if I have to be an engineer replying to this; technically, I have planned about 20 posts! Written the topics in my diary all through the year. So I think I pass this one. I should hire a lawyer to draft my new year resolutions this time.]
3) WRITE A BOOK.
4) Eat a fruit a day.
[Fail. Although I did buy an old style juicer and made mosambi juice once. I lag in the fruit eating department.]
5) Go on 20 min walks atleast 2 days in a week.
[Big fail. I did not even try.]
6) DOWNLOAD and listen to music.
[Epic fail. I had the chance to transfer music from YS’ playlist almost thrice, but kept procrastinating.]
7) Use a planner app/diary and an expense tracker app.
[Is there a word more empathetic than Epic fail? That.]
8) Take pictures when possible.
[Lots taken. 🙂 ]
9) Sum up (not summarize) the day everyday at the end of the day 😀
[Lagging here. Have made notes once or twice.]
I think I got 40% and hence, I declare myself as ‘passed’ with a ‘satisfactory’ remark 😉
